The Manage Logins area allows you to add, edit or delete Users. The initial screen lists all users in your Organization. You can filter the results by entering all or part of either first or last name in the Search field, by selecting a type of user, or a combination of both.
The red X symbol deletes a login access. The record for the customer, client, or Int/Svc Prov is not deleted, just their login access.
Add User
Clicking Add Record allows you to assign a Username and Password to a User. This will enable them to login to Gridcheck.
Select which type of User you will be adding. If you select Int/Svc Provider, Customer or Deaf Client you will also need to select which one from the list. After you have made your selection, click Next to continue.
The next screen will come up asking you for the username and password.
Enter the user’s First and Last Name, a Username (a suggested username will be prefilled) and a Password.
Check the Send Confirmation box if you would like to send them an email confirmation. You will get a pop-up window that will give you a chance to review/edit the confirmation that is being sent. Click Save Changes to finish.
Note: If you want to set a specific password for someone, do not send the confirmation. Instead enter the password and click on Save Changes button and then communicate the password via email with the user. If you send the confirmation the system will change the password to a unique password on the receiving side’s email message. That is a function of the security measures within Gridcheck.
TIP: If you delete a username it cannot be used again even after deleted.
Edit User
You can go back to edit the information and make necessary adjustments. Be sure to save your changes.
When editing an Office Staff user, you need to select one or more groups in the Group Display default. This tells the system which Groups to display on session grids.
You have the option of disabling any user login by picking Disable in the Status field. This will prevent the person from being able to access Gridcheck. The user will see an error message communicating that the account has been locked and to contact the scheduling office to get the account unlocked. Selecting Enable will unlock the account.
Login As…
Note: Administrative privileges are necessary in order to access the Login As… options.
If you log in as another user you will be forced to log out and then sign back into your Office Level access in order to return to your own login. It’s also possible to have two or more browsers open at the same time utilizing different user logins. This makes it possible to go back and forth between user accounts if necessary.
Staff level users can not log in as other staff level users.
