Process for Managing Two Service Types in One Job / Session
Set-Up
Create a new Service Type that will cover both Service Types you need to fill. Example: ASL/CDI
Add new Service Type to the profiles of all providers to whom it applies.
Set up rates for both providers and customers who will use the combined Service Type.
Enter the job into the system with a session that initially has one slot. You can note “teamed” in the Situation field. Select the new Service Type.
Initially, only enter one slot to be filled. Rationale: This allows you to query for the first Service Type while only allowing one provider to accept.
Situation field Example: XXXXXX ASL/CDI Team (In-Person or VRI:Zoom)
Querying and Confirming
Send the query to provider(s) who perform ONE Service Type only. Example: Send the query to only those who provide CDI services FIRST.
Once the first Service Type slot is filled
Send a Session Filled notice to all others in that Service Type who were queried.
Change Query Status to Declined for all who were queried, so the session does not linger on the Pending Queries tab of a provider’s login.
Add the second slot to the session and Save session. Send query to provider(s) for the second Service Type using the check-marks and regular query options. Example: Send the query to the assigned CDI’s preferred ASL team options, telling them the CDI has been assigned.
Once the second interpreter is assigned, Save & Confirm the team and send Session Filled notice to all others.
