Gridcheck Two-Factor Authentication Process

- Download the app called Google Authenticator on your cell phone.
2. Login to Gridcheck
3. In the top right corner, under your username, click “Edit My Account”
4. Click on Enable 2FA
6. You will be prompted to confirm your password:
7. After confirming your password you will see the QR code and 4 recovery codes.
8. Open the Google Authenticator application on your cell phone and click the + to add a new site. Select “Scan a QR Code” and scan the QR code on the screen.
9. Note and store the 4 recovery codes which can be used if you lose or don’t have access to your cell phone.
10. When or if prompted during the login process, to produce an additional token to prove your identity, look to your Google Authenticator App for the additional token to enter as part of the login process. This token changes every 30 seconds.
If your device is recognized it will not ask you for the Google Authenticator token as a 2nd step, but will ask at least every 4 weeks.
