UJT stands for Universal Job Transfer—a system developed by Gridcheck to make it easier for organizations to collaborate on filling a job. With UJT, both organizations can work on the same job simultaneously, while a built-in locking mechanism prevents double-booking.
When one organization takes action to book a provider, the system temporarily “locks” the job for 60 seconds, allowing that organization to complete the booking without interference. Afterward, the lock is released if no booking occurs, and the job is again open for action.
This system enables shared effort without loss of control.
How it works
Let’s say Org 1 transfers a job to Org 2:
- If Org 1 books the job after the transfer, the job is automatically cancelled for Org 2.
- If Org 2 fills the job first, Org 1 is immediately notified, and Org 2’s name and selected provider will appear on Org 1’s session.
Org 1 remains responsible for communicating with the client and customer.
Org 2 is only responsible for managing and confirming with the service provider.
Org 2 does not have access to confirm with the client or customer
Steps to Use UJT
Step 1: Build a Job
⬇️

Step 2: Transfer the Job
Click the Transfer button to view a list of organizations you have an approved transfer relationship with. Select the appropriate org and confirm the transfer. Note: If the session is teamed, the slot will be split into individual sessions upon transfer for both the sending and receiving Org. Additionally, if there are any files attached to the session they are not included in the transfer.
⬇️

Step 3: Both Orgs Are Notified
- Org 2 will receive an email alert about the new job.
- Org 1 receives a confirmation email that the job was transferred.
Step 4: Whoever Fills It First, Wins
- If Org 2 books the job, Org 1 is automatically notified and the job shows the Org 2 name and service provider name on the session.
- If Org 1 books the job, the corresponding job on Org 2 is automatically cancelled.
Note: Only the sending organization (Org 1) can cancel the job.
Automatic Assignment of the Service Provider
When working from the UJT session, Gridcheck calculates which interpreter was the first to accept the job, automatically assigns the job to them, and emails them the calendar file within five minutes of their acceptance. As the organization, you will receive a copy of these actions. Likewise, Gridcheck will email any service providers who were advised to stand by, within that 5 minute window, that they were not granted the job. After the assignment is made, other service providers who try to accept will be given the standard immediate response when they click ACCEPT and you will be notified, as usual, of those attempts.
